Meet Our Team
This is Hiraya. We’re a team of animal lovers working together to protect, care for, and find loving homes for every pet that comes through our doors.

Prima Bautista
The Founder
Prima Bautista, RN, brings over 35 years of healthcare experience and a lifelong commitment to compassion. Her work in healthcare shaped her deep belief in protecting the vulnerable—a principle that led her to founding this nonprofit in support of animals in need. She advocates for stray and community animals by promoting preventative care, humane treatment, and access to resources within underserved areas. Prima is deeply committed to building community partnerships and empowering local efforts, recognizing that sustainable change happens when people come together to care for those who cannot speak for themselves. She is grateful for every partner and supporter who helps make this mission possible.

Teng G. Bukuhan
Lead Operations Coordinator
eng is a devoted wife and mother of three whose life is rooted in service, faith, and community. Actively involved in school organizations and grassroots problem-solving initiatives, Teng brings both heart and action to everything she does. She leads humanitarian missions, remains deeply engaged in church and faith-based service, and is a steadfast advocate for animal welfare.
In addition to leading operations, Teng faithfully serves as the treasurer, stewarding resources with integrity and care. She is deeply invested in both the mission and vision of Hiraya, as well as the physical building itself, ensuring that every space reflects compassion, purpose, and dignity for the animals and communities we serve.
To Hiraya, Teng is a tremendous blessing—someone who has given her heart fully to the mission. Known for her simple and humble way of living, she is a genuine friend whose compassion, joy, and quiet leadership inspire everyone around her.
We are deeply grateful to be serving alongside her.

Anjelica Bautista
Veterinary Support Coordinator
Anjelica began her academic journey as a chemist, developing a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific research. Over time, her passion for bridging gaps within communities and increasing access to care has led her to pivot toward veterinary medicine. Now a student at Washington State University (WSU), she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective.
